According to information gathered from the ongoing Harvard Study of Adult Development, sustaining good relationships as you age may actually be the key to happiness.
This study began in 1938 and has continued to track two unique groups of men to this day. The first group, the Harvard Cohort Grant study, took 268 19-year old Caucasian men from Harvard classes of 1939-1944. The second, the Inner-City Cohort Gluek study, consisted of 456 inner-city Caucasian men between the ages of 11 and 16.
